• Activities: Afternoon and/or evening activities Monday-Friday, full-day excursions each Sunday (Optional activities offered each Saturday)
• Classic Program: Consists of a mix of cultural, sports, sightseeing and shopping activities.
• University Explorer Program: Includes SAT/TOEFL lessons, university campus tours, and academic skills workshops.
• Special UCLA Explorer Program: Film Explorer – participate in the filmmaking process with writing, acting, directing, and editing, and producing your own film!
• Entrepreneurship Program: combine academics, training games and projects to understand business and entrepreneurship. (for students with intermediate level English and above)
• Airport Transfer:Included in the transportation fee, valid for Saturday arrivals and departures between 9am – 9pm

Semi-Intensive English Course

Number of levels: up to 12

English level evaluation with multi-level placement: Placement testing includes a grammar section, a writing section, and an interview with the Director of Courses. The three separate components of the test allow us to make accurate placements for each of the student’s classes.

Grammar Structure and Usage

• Teaches students the rules of grammar usage through communicative teaching methods.
• Gives students the opportunity to practice using grammar in both speaking and writing.

Conversation, Listening, Vocabulary and Pronunciation

• Gives students practice speaking in English and listening to and understanding English spoken by native speakers.
• Provides students with feedback and special exercises to help improve pronunciation.

Entrepreneurship Course

Minimum Level: Intermediate

In lieu of English language classes in the morning, high-intermediate and advanced students, will have the option to join a content-based leadership and entrepreneurship course. During the afternoon, students will participate in one of the three afternoon activities offered at their campus including Classic (UCLA and Wheelock), University Explorer (UCLA and Wheelock), Film Explorer (UCLA) or Sports Explorer (Wheelock). The available start dates for the Entrepreneurship Program will be July 2, July 9, July 16 and July 23. This program is offered exclusively to high-level students who no longer require daily instruction in English language skills. Students will take a placement test upon arrival to determine if they meet the level requirements to participate in this program.

• Laundry facilities located in the dormitory (estimated $1.25 per wash, $1.25 per dry)

Students participate in afternoon activities Monday-Friday. Afternoon activities are compulsory and are included in the Junior Program package. Evening and Saturday activities are always optional and offered to all students. AGE always offer a combination of free and low-cost evening and Saturday activities. Please refer to the sample calendar for sample activities.

In the Classic Program, students will enjoy the diversity that each city offers through participating in a variety of cultural, sports, sightseeing, and shopping activities.

Do you think you have the creativity to be a Hollywood legend? Right in the heart of the world’s entertainment industry, Film Explorers will get a chance to study the art of film, visit a selection of famous Hollywood and entertainment landmarks, and also be given the opportunity to collaborate on a film project.

The Entrepreneurship Program combines academics, training games and projects to help students understand the ecosystem of a business and how leadership impacts success. Students will get a head start in entering the business world. Students will have Entrepreneurship Classes in morning and choose from up to three different Activities Programs for their afternoon activity at no additional cost. Students may choose up to one program each week. Students must choose their selection at enrollment to ensure availability.
